Andrew Faunce
With 30 years in the emergency services sector, Andrew has extensive experience in crisis, incident and emergency management. He has led the response to numerous high-profile events that had significant reputational, economic or political ramifications for affected stakeholders.
With a passion for building strong leadership capability, Andrew is highly regarded for developing future incident and emergency management leaders. His proven experience as a trainer and facilitator ensures that he is able to deliver excellent training outcomes for his clients, utilising his strengths of engagement, communication, adaptability, positivity and strategic thinking. With a strong background in competency based training, Andrew holds a Cert IV Training and Assessment as well as national units of competency in level 3 incident management, human resourcing and media management.
Andrew holds Graduate Certificates in Leadership and Management, an Advanced Diploma in Firefighting Management, and is an accredited Certified Incident Controller by the Australasian Fire Authorities Council as recognition of his incident and emergency management capabilities.
Greg Rankin
Greg is a Director of Decisive Crisis Management and has over 33 years of operational and strategic experience in the emergency management sector. He recognises the importance of planning and leadership prior to any emergency. His background is in training, planning and response within the emergency services, with a strong focus on risk management and critical decision making. He has worked with a wide variety of emergency service organisations and industry to provide emergency planning training and managing a response to an emergency incident.
Greg understands the need to provide real life experiences and contextualise this to meet the needs of organisations in their emergency planning and/or training requirements. His strengths are communicating with people and understanding their individual needs. He is committed to helping individuals and organisations recognise the skills within their teams and focusing on using the talents of individuals to benefit the goals of the whole organisation.
Greg holds a Graduate Certificate in Management, Graduate Certificate in Applied Management (Policing and Emergency Services), a Diploma in Government Management and is a qualified Level 3 Incident Controller. Greg is the recipient of the Australian Fire Service Medal (AFSM) for is work in incident management doctrine writing, training and improving the safety management systems for an emergency service organisation.
Jeff Hogan
Jeff has over 30 years experience in emergency response and managing complex, high consequence events. He has deployed nationally and internationally to emergencies as part of multiagency incident management teams and is experienced in leading and managing diverse, dynamic teams of people in complex environments. Jeff’s adaptive leadership style leverages advanced analytical skills. He has experience in utilising technology solutions to supplement and enhance the human factors that are critical during emergency response and crisis management.
He is committed to developing people and has significant experience in command management and leadership within the adult learning environment. Jeff holds a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment as well as nationally recognised qualifications as a Level 3 Incident Controller and Level 3 Operations Officer. He has graduated from senior Incident Control training programs in NSW and is actively developing future leaders and Incident Commanders across Australian fire agencies. Jeff holds a Graduate Certificate in Applied Management (Policing and Emergency Services) and is registered by the Australian Fire Authorities Council (AFAC) as a Level 2 Incident Controller.
Trent Lawrence
Trent has over 25 years of operational and strategic experience in the emergency management sector and has a strong focus on leadership and critical decision making.
His training and experience has provided him with the skills to identify risks and the opportunities for organisations. He also has excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including dealing with Government and private sector organisations after significant events.
Being a qualified professional in emergency management, he understands the importance of training organisational leaders to have the mental readiness for a crisis response. Trent’s experience has taught him that Organisational leaders who are mentally prepared have a real competitive advantage in managing the consequences to a crisis and building personal and organisational resilience.
Trent holds an Executive Masters of Public Administration, Bachelor of Environmental Science Honours and is Level 3 Incident qualified.
